What additional costs will I pay when buying in Bodrum
What is the process for buying in Turkey
As in the UK it is normal to put down a 10% non refundable deposit (however this would be refundable in the event that the vendor pulls out or there is a major problem with the deeds). The government will then perform a search (on non-Turkish nationals) which usually takes around 2 months. Once this is complete the purchase may continue. The purchase will complete at the TAPU (goverment Deeds Office) at which point title deeds will be transferred from the vendor to the purchaser.
